Ex-Senate President, David Mark’s Son Laid To Rest

Tunde Mark, the son of former Senate President David Mark, was laid to rest.

The deceased was buried at the family home in the Otukpo area of Benue State.

After fighting cancer for more than a year, Tunde, 51, passed away on October 21, 2022, in a hospital in London.

The funeral rites commenced on November 9, with the service of songs held in Abuja. Tunde’s body was accompanied by family and friends to Otukpo for a wake on November 10.

Governor Samuel Ortom, his deputy Benson Abonu, Senate Minority Leader Philip Aduda, and Senator Abba Moro attended the burial.

Others were ex-Kogi governor Idris Wada, ex-Senators Suleman Adokwe and Lekan Mustapha, Bishop Michael Apochi of Otukpo Catholic Diocese, and Rev Innocent Jooji, among others.

In his sermon, Most Rev. Fr. Sylvester Onmonke told the family to have faith in God as only He can give and take life.

The late Tunde is survived by his wife, Natsu, daughter Audrey, parents, brothers, and sisters.
