At about 09:00 p.m. on Sunday, a deadly accident close to the Four-Corners Enugu left no less than 13 passengers burned to death.
The unfortunate 14-seater bus, which was allegedly traveling from Imo State to Adamawa, is believed to have collided with a trailer before catching fire.
According to Daily Post, all the passengers except one were said to have burnt beyond recognition in the accident, which occurred at the Enugu end of the Enugu/Port Harcourt expressway.
Only one passenger survived the auto crash, with varying versions of how he escaped. Some said sympathizers rescued him; others said he jumped out of the vehicle from the window.
According to the information, the only survivor is currently being treated at the Emergency Unit of the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, UNTH, Ituku-Ozalla.
