Pastor David Ibiyeomie is a Nigerian Pastor, author, and television evangelist. He is the founder and presiding pastor of Salvation Ministries (Home of Success).

David Ibiyeomie was born on 21st October 1962 in Bonny Island in the present Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State in Nigeria and is from Bolo Town in Ogu/Bolo Local Area of Rivers State.

While there is little to no information about his family and childhood, all that is known is that his both parents are late and his late father in his early days, was in the administration of a previous Shell B.P.

It is believed that David was exposed to Christianity from a very young age and has followed the path even up till adulthood.

 

 

David had all his schooling in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, from his primary to secondary and tertiary education. He attended Banham Primary School, Aggrey Road, Port Harcourt from 1969 to 1974 where he had his primary education, for his secondary education, he moved on to Government Comprehensive Secondary School at Borikiri in Port Harcourt, where he remained until he graduated from secondary school in 1979. 

In 1980, he enrolled in the University of Science and Technology, now Rivers State University of Science and Technology Port Harcourt to study Micro-Biology.

After receiving Christ in 1995, David under the tutelage of Bishop David Oyedepo began a pursuit of spiritual growth having found his calling. And in 1996, a year later, he enrolled in the Word of Faith Bible Institute (WOFBI), an arm of Bishop David Oyedepo’s ministries.

And a year later, He moved to G.R.A., Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where Salvation Ministries (then Glorious Chapel) was birthed, precisely on 13th April 1997, at Plot 35, Birabi Street, G.R.A. Stage 1, Port Harcourt with only about twenty (20) persons in attendance.

However, in July 1999, the church migrated from Plot 35, Birabi to Plot 17, Birabi Street in G.R.A Port Harcourt, where it still currently occupies, presently claimed to be worth over N1.5billion. Salvation Ministries has grown in capacity and impact with numerous satellite churches around the country and abroad. The church also runs a bible school, Word of Life Bible Institute (WOLBI).

 

 

David Ibiyeomie hosts a Television Programme Hour of Salvation which was originally aired on just NTA channel 10 Port Harcourt, Rivers State, in 2001 but currently runs on over 40 television stations both locally and internationally. He is an author and hosts an internet radio show.

Rumoured to be one of the richest pastors in Nigeria and Africa, David Ibiyeomie is said to have a net worth of between $41 million which is ₦18.8 Billion. He is married to Peace Ibiyeomie who is also a pastor, and they are blessed with one child, David Jnr.
