The BMI London Awards Are Won By Wizkid, Tems, CKay, Joeboy, Tempoe, And P2J.

Broadcast Music, Inc. awards are presented each year  by BMI in regard for songwriters, composers, and music publishers in a variety of genres with the BMI Film & TV  Awards.

For their respective contributions to “Essence” and “Love Nwantiti,” Nigerian artists Wizkid, Tems, and CKay, as well as producers P2J and Tempoe, won awards at the most recent edition of the London-based award.The contributions that Joeboy and Kwame Eugene made to CKay’s “Love Nwantiti” also earned them prizes.

The hit record “Essence” by Global Afrobeats and the worldwide smash “Love Nwantiti” both received awards for songwriting in the Pop category.In honor of the song’s success, “Essence” and the Justin Bieber-aided remix were given awards.

The Impact prize, which is given to a songwriter, producer, or composer for their artistry, creative vision, and impact on the future of music, was won by Nigerian International Sensation, who went on to win one of the biggest awards.She joins RAYE and Arlo Parks as winners of the prize.

Tems has been receiving awards since 2022, when she broke records with her contributions to “Essence” by Wizkid, “Fountain” by Drake, “Wait For U” by Future, and “Move” by Beyonce.
