Students At FUTA To Resume On Sunday And Begin Classes On Monday

A new academic calendar for the 2020/21 academic session has been approved by the Senate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).

This is what Mr. Richard Arifalo, the Registrar of the FUTA, said in a statement on Thursday in Akure.

According to the statement, classes until the end of the First Semester would resume on Monday, and students would be expected on campus starting on Sunday.

The approval was also given at a Special Senate Meeting on Wednesday, according to the statement.

The change came as a result of the suspension of the nationwide eighth-month strike that caused academic activities at universities to be disrupted.

As a result, it wished all students a safe return to the school’s campus.
