The end of last season saw many Chelsea fans screaming for the addition of new faces and more ambitious players to the team as a result of the teams wastefulness in the final third. Thomas Tuchel’s list of attacking targets is filled with a lot of quality players and top of that list is Manchester city’s Raheem sterling. With an impressive record of a combined 165goals in 320 Premier League games for both Liverpool and Manchester city, Sterling is seen as an ideal addition to Tuchel’s system and according to reports he has agreed personal terms with Chelsea on a deal that will see him become one of the highest paid players at the club.

Although many football fans are shocked at Manchester City’s willingness to strengthen two of it’s major rivals, allowing Gabriel Jesus to sign for Arsenal and now on the verge of letting Sterling join Chelsea doesn’t seem to be a problem for Pep Guardiola who has previously said he will not like to keep players who are unhappy at the club. Pep also stressed on the condition for which Sterling will be allowed to leave, stating that Sterling will only be allowed to depart the ETIHAD if a suitable and reasonable bid in the region of £50 million comes in.

Sterling’s impressive stats so far in the premier league have seen him sit at the top of Chelsea’s summer wish list with the west Londoners hoping to put their goal scoring woes behind them in the coming season. It is also believed that Chelsea would be hoping to complete a deal for the English man before the end of this week to enable them concentrate on other targets. Whether or not Sterling would be a success at Stamford Bridge remains a mystery waiting to be unraveled in the coming seasons as a Chelsea player but one major trait about sterling most Chelsea fans would be excited about should they succeed in capturing his signature is his fighting spirit.

Chelsea would be getting a really top player in Sterling with vast experience, having represented two of Europe’s great teams in Liverpool and Manchester city, Raheem sterling is no stranger to the EPL so adapting to life at Chelsea might not really be a problem. His dynamic features which allows him function in almost every position in attack would come as a great asset for Tuchel’s Chelsea who aim to compete on all fronts next season.

Sterling’s pace could also come as a great weapon for Tuchel’s plans next season to unseat Manchester city as EPL champions, as a result of this Chelsea’s co-owner Toed Boehly is in serious talks to finalize a deal for the attacker.
