Spain’s Bull Run Festival Returns After Two Years Break

Bull Run festival in Pamplona resumed with crowded streets and fireworks, after a two-year break due to the COVID. The celebrations began with the “chupinazo” fireworks. “This ‘chupinazo’ is dedicated to all those health workers and people who helped us during the pandemic, and to all those suffering from ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis)” famous athlete Unze said.

Bullfighting is still immensely popular in Spain although the movement against it has gained much momentum in recent years. “The majority of society rejects bullfighting because they consider it cruel, but there are still many political supporters”, said Gascón (Director of AnimaNaturalis)

Over 1 million visitors will be at the event. The Running of the Bulls 2022 dates are July 7 – 14, 2022 in Pamplona, Spain. “We have the feeling there is such desire among people to have a good time that it might get out of hand,” said Pamplona mayor Enrique Maya.
