Siminalayi Fubara Has Launched The 5km Okania Road Project,

His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara has launched the 5km Okania-Egbelu-Mgbaraja-Ogbogoro road project.

The Project was awarded to CCECC Nigeria Limited for N6.73 billion, with 40% of the payment already made of the contract sum, with subsequent payments to be made on issuance of interim certificates as work progresses towards completion of the entire project.

Sir Siminalayi Fubara is steadily unravelling and resolving the various shades of puzzles for the interest of the people.

The 10-meter wide road will feature 2.5074 kilometers of drainage and is set for completion in 5 months. The project, funded entirely by the state’s internally generated revenue without borrowing, is widely praised in Rivers State.

This initiative highlights Governor Fubara’s ability to drive development without increasing the state’s debt. His approach showcases his financial acumen and effective governance, proving his readiness to enhance the state’s infrastructure and prosperity.

That of course is the case of Okania-Ogbogoro road in Obio Akpor local government area of the state. In fact, both the road and the people living in that axis were abandoned since March 2020 and the road became impassable such that it gradually wore out until it turned into a gully.

Upon completion, the Okania-Ogbogoro road will demonstrate that Governor Fubara’s administration is dedicated to the state’s progress without unnecessary fanfare.
