The Senate has minutes ago named Senator Philip Aduda the lawmaker representing the Federal Capital Territory as the new Minority Leader and Senator Chukwuka Utazi Senator representing Enugu North Senatorial District as the Senate Minority Whip.
The Senate President Ahmad Lawan, at the floor of the Senate made the announcement while reading the letters signed by the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Sen.Samuel Anyanwu, of the nomination of Senator Philip Aduda and Senator Chukwuka Utazi as Minority Leader and Senate Minority Whip respectively.
Recall that the Minority Leader seat became vacant following the defection of Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe to All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) while Aduda was Senate Minority Whip.
