POST ELECTION REACTION: ‘For Lai Mohammed To Speak About Treason Far Away In America It Is Irresponsible” Prof. Udenta

A socio – political analyst, Professor Udenta O. Udenta has condemned Lai Mohammed’s statement accusing the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi of treason and stirring up insurrection.

Udenta revealed this in his response to an interview on Thursday morning on Arise TV.

Also the Founding National Secretary of the Alliance for Democracy outrightly frowned at the statement of Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka, stating that Soyinka descended so low to talk about fascism in a time as this in Nigeria.

Lai Mohammed has accused Peter Obi of treason and stirring up insurrection. However, Mr Obi and his team has vigourously denied this accusation.

When asked “How alive would you say Nigeria politics is now ? Is it a momentous political moment for Nigerians?

“What we are experiencing is a vibrant decay” He said.

“I speak with a sense of responsibility, In 2011,  Lai Mohammed is part of APC,the dogs and baboons were caught up in blood down, hundreds of corp members were murdered. Young vibrant girls and boys were cut down in their prime of their lives. Thousands of houses were razed down because they felt injured by the result of the 2011 election”.

“For anybody in Government to talk about fascism or fascistic behaviour or insurrection or treasonable behaviour is sorely unbecoming and completely irresponsible at this stage.

“For a government function as Lai Mohammed to speak about treason far away in  America it is irresponsible and for Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka we all respect him at his age, to descend into  the frame having lost his moral compass in this particular circumstance, its equally very shocking for people like  us who hold him in high esteem”.

“we wish that this democratic process does not end up at the level of self help”
