Kamal Adebayo, popularly known as Sir Kay, a veteran Yoruba actor and the father of popular skit maker, Isbae U, has died.The announcement of his passing was made by the Chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Management Committee, Musiliu Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo, on Tuesday, December 27, via his Instagram page.
He wrote, “It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Alhaji Kamal Adebayo (Sir Kay). May Allah grant him eternal rest. RIP Sir Kay.”
Other Yoruba actors and actresses have taken to their social media platforms to mourn the deceased. The popular actor Yomi Fabiyi made a post in his instagram page by saying;
“O di gba kan naa, Sir K Warrior. Wabili Kabbar. RIP senior man. I am weak,” Fabiyi wrote.

The announcement was made in a statement by fellow thespian Ropo Ewenla which read: “Today, this morning, one phase of history came to an end. Erin ti wo. The elephant rises no more. Yinka Ogundaisi bid this world farewell at dawn. It was Kate Adepegba who dropped the bomb on my lap. I called Uncle Yinka’s number to confirm and rudely, it was so”
