Manchester United is unwilling to overpay for Victor Osimhen, a forward for Napoli.
Following Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract termination last week, the Red Devils are looking for a new striker. The Premier League top team is apparently interested in Osimhen, but Napoli’s €100 million asking price has scared them away.
According to a tweet by Sky Sports reporter, Florian Plettenberg, he is a top target, the tweet said: “As reported he‘s one of the top targets. But been told that #MUFC doesn’t want to pay a crazy price of around €100m. Bosses say: He is ready for the Premier League! What they appreciate about him: Speed, and physicality. He’s a finisher! Thuram is not hot.”
Real Madrid and Chelsea have both expressed an interest in the 23-year-old. In 14 appearances for Napoli this season across all competitions, the Nigerian international has 10 goals and three assists.
In 2020, the striker transferred from Ligue 1 club Lille to the Partenopei. Osimhen’s contract will expire in 2025.
