NYSC: Six Corp Members Receives Extension In Gombe

The National Youth Service Corp (NYSC)  has on Thursday November 3, recorded not less than 1,085 corp members of Batch C stream II who has successfully served their father’s land and is passing out today in Gombe State.

In Gombe State, Six corp members received and extension while four others stopped half way.

In an open address by the state co-oridnator, Mrs. Ada Imoni, she beckoned on the now ex-corp members to hold on to every skill that they have acquired during their course of service especially the skill acquisition and entrepreneurship programs.

Speaking further, she advised that the era for dependence on the government for white collar jobs had passed, urging them to think of ways to start up businesses for self-reliance.She also called on them to say no to thuggery and other social vices as the scheme prepared corps members for the general elections come 2023.

Speaking on Community Development Service, Imoni commended those who stood out in CDS by leaving indelible prints in their host communities.

However,Imoni Said “the service year of Six out of the 1,085 Corps members was extended as a result of various offences committed, while four stopped on the way.”
