NSCDC Discovers An Illegal Petroleum Products Dump In Abuja

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) operatives have discovered and sealed an illegal petroleum products dump in the Federal Capital Territory.

The event was confirmed on Sunday 30th of October by Olusola Odumosu, NSCDC’s spokesman, in a post on the Facebook page of his organization. In the post, Odumosu stated that the Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad was responsible for finding and shutting the illicit oil dump.

The post read: “over 54,000 liters of suspected vandalized, illegally refined and adulterated Automotive Gas Oil, one pumping machine, one generator, two surface tanks containing suspected adulterated and illegally refined AGO were recovered.”

The post added two empty surface tanks, four empty trucks, one truck containing suspected vandalized, illegally refined, and adulterated AGO, two drums of AGO, two different waybills, two different vehicle plates, one pump action, one Dane-gun, and six cartridges were recovered.
