NDDC Declares About 2,506 Projects Completed Over The Last Seven Years

According to the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), between 2015 and 2022, it completed roughly 2,506 projects for the region’s residents.

Recall that Mr. Umana Okon Umana, the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, declared four weeks ago that the ministry was creating a list of projects finished by the current administration when speaking on a Radio Nigeria Audience Participatory Program.

According to him, details of the projects would be published for public scrutiny in a bid to show that the ministry is “solid in the area of transparency and accountability.”

In a statement on Friday, November 18, the NDDC’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Dr. Ibitoye Abosede, announced the publication of the compendium and noted that information about the 2,506 projects had been made available on the organization’s website.

“Entrenching the tenets of accountability and transparency in our activities forms a part of the thrust of the new leadership supervised by the Honourable Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Obong Umana Okon Umana.”

“We urge members of the public to always visit our website, which is easily accessible to keep abreast of the commission’s projects across the Niger Delta Region”, the statement added.
