Key Player For Ten Hag Out For Rest Of The Season

Manchester United will be without Christian Eriksen until late April or early May after he suffered an ankle injury. The Dane picked up a problem following a strong challenge from Andy Carroll in a 3-1 FA Cup win at home to Reading on Saturday night.Signs looked worrying for United when Eriksen was forced to leave the stadium on crutches, and they have been dealt a hammer blow after learning the extent of the injury.United have confirmed Eriksen will miss the next few months and will not return until the back end of the 2022/23 season, with late April or early May pencilled in as a potential return date.

Since joining from Brentford on a free transfer, Eriksen has provided much-needed creativity at the heart of United’s midfield and had formed a solid partnership with fellow summer arrival Casemiro.90min reported on Monday that Erik ten Hag’s side are unlikely to bring in a new midfielder prior to the January transfer deadline despite worries over Eriksen and interest in Scott McTominay.
