Kemi Badenoch Gatecrashes The Tory Race To Replace Boris Johnson

Kemi Badenoch, the Nigerian-heritage candidate and the Tory MP for Saffron Walden, entered the race to succeed Boris Johnson on Friday evening.

She was the Minister of State at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities between 16 September 2021 and July 2022.

In her piece on the Times, she wants to see people free by telling the truth.

She recognized Boris Johnson achievements but was quick to state that Mr. Johnson was a symptom of the problems we face, not the cause of them.

She been accused of “enabling white supremacy” despite being the only black candidate to have joined the race to date.
