In Rivers, INEC Commences Collection Of PVCs At Registration Areas/Wards

On Thursday, January 5th, 2023, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Rivers, announced that it would commence collection of Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) at the Registration Areas/Wards from Friday, January 6th, up until Sunday, January 15th.

This was disclosed to the general public by the Head of Department, Voter Education, and Publicity, INEC, Mr. Mark Usulor, in a statement issued to newsmen by Mrs. Geraldine Ekelemu, the Public Relations Officer (PRO), in Port Harcourt.

Usulor, on behalf of the Resident Electoral Commissioner, said that collection of PVCs will revert to the INEC Local Government offices from Jan. 16 to 22.

He asked people who couldn’t pick up their PVCs at the Commission’s LGA offices to do so on the designated days at the Registration Areas/Wards.

He pleaded with all parties involved to create a calm and supportive environment so that the Commission staff could successfully complete the exercise throughout the State’s 319 Registration Areas/Wards within the allotted time. (NAN)
