I Would Not Rule Out Signing Another Striker

Current Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel isn’t ruling out the Possibility of signing another striker this summer following the departure of Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan on loan. The German tactician was recently asked about his thoughts on Ronaldo being in the market and q to the blues but his response was intelligent as usual, Tuchel said “I would not rule out signing another striker, but it’s not our priority. The priority right now is defense, it’s not a secret”, still in an interview with sky sports news Tuchel further said “we lost top players and so we need to replace them”.

The departure of Christensen and Rudiger has certainly left a big hole in the defense department which needs to be filled before the new season begins so Tuchel’s response would come as great news to fans considering how slow Chelsea has been in the transfer market so far. Tuchel’s interest in PSG’s PresnelKimpempe, Napoli’s Koulibaly, and Manchester city’s Nathan Ake further gives credibility to Tuchel’s statement on the clubs need for defensive re-enforcements.

However, signing a player of Ronaldo’s caliber would certainly improve any team currently even at 37 years of age but given Ronaldo’s rush to leave a club he just joined in the summer of last season would really go a long way in explaining the sort of player Ronaldo truly is, though much of the news surrounding his desires to leave the red devils is concerning the clubs failure to qualify for champions league and their decision to reduce his wages as a general punishment for all the Manchester United players, a lot of people still think Ronaldo’s being childish.

Fans believe Ronaldo despite being Manchester United’s stand out performer should be able to stick with a team in both good and bad times. Tuchel has been look warm towards the prospect of signing Ronaldo but will certainly do so if he feels it’s right for the club to bring in an old super star striker.
