Healthy eating is about eating smart and enjoying your food, healthy eating can also be called healthy diet. Nature has made it impossible for man to survive without eating, over the years our forefathers suffered from various ailment/diseases as a result of unhealthy foods and this sent many of them to their early graves. Modernization has taken over in our recent world now that we have so many canned foods, which frequently eaten can cause cancer over time. In some part of the world like Africa, issues like this are not taken seriously as we eat whatever we feel like or available which is not supposed to be so. Below are some tips on how to transform your eating habits; 

1.Base your meals on higher fiber starchy carbohydrates (potatoes, bread, rice, pasta and cereals)

2.Do not get thirsty (drink plenty of fluids to stop you from getting dehydrated)

3.Do not skip breakfast

4.Eat more of fish

5.Eat lots of fruits and vegetables

Furthermore, there are also some benefits of eating healthy; below are some of the benefits;  

1.It helps to achieve and maintain a healthy body weight

2.It helps boost immunity

3.It lowers the risk of heart disease

4.It helps the digestive system function well

5.It supports the muscles and strengthens the bones 

That been said, there are also disadvantages that comes with an individual not eating healthy, these disadvantages could be severe giving the fact that humans need food to survive and by food I mean good food filled with the necessary nutrients needed by the body. Below are some of the disadvantages of not eating healthy;


1.It could lead to obesity 

2.It could cause chronic diseases which could become life threatening

3.It could lead to nutrient deficiency  

The importance of eating healthy cannot be over-emphasized   as its advantages outweigh its disadvantages and as such should not be taken lightly. Nutrients in food gives our bodies instructions on how to function, these nutrients also enable the cells in our bodies to perform their necessary functions for the growth, development and maintenance of the body.
