Bayern Munchen winger Serge Gnabry is said to be keen on renewing his contract with the German Champions. The former Arsenal player who found his best form playing Bayern isn’t interested in moving away from the club despite being wanted by top clubs in Europe.One of the top clubs currently in need of his services is Chelsea and according to report the blues are highly interested in the German and are already in contact with the players club and agent concerning a transfer to the bridge this summer.
Thomas Tuchel is a fan of the talented winger and views him as a good alternative to Barcelona bound Raphinha. According to reports Gnabry is currently giving full attention to Bayern’s new contract proposal and talks on the deal are in progress. Raphinha, Tuchel’s preferred winger doesn’t want a move to the bridge as he only wants a move to Barcelona if he is to depart Leeds united this summer, however, the deal has been put on hold with all parties involved waiting for Barcelona to match up Chelsea’s bid of £60 million. Serge Gnabry’s decision to pen a new deal with Bayern could come as a huge blow for Chelsea given how in need they are of a quality winger.
With the recentdevelopment of things it is becoming more clearer now that Chelsea would have to look elsewhere in their search for a winger as the prospect of signing either of Raphinha or Gnabry seems unrealistic given their desires to play elsewhere rather than the bridge.
