The CBN had last week said it will redesign the N1,000, N500 and N200 notes, effective December 1, a development that has elicited mixed reactions.

The Labour Party Presidential Candidate Peter Obi’s “No Shishi” Philosophy means  they won’t accept gratification to support or vote for Peter Obi. Obi’s acclaimed frugality is the spirit. No body is ready to give anyone money for campaigns and more. Therefore his face has jokingly appeared on the yet to be redesigned N200 note.

“Emi lokan”, a Yoruba expression that literally means “It’s my turn”. The phrase became popular after the APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu uttered it during a town hall meeting in Ogun State. Then the APC was considering choosing a consensus candidate that would likely not be him. Nigerians mocked him for his rant and the soundbite in particular, but Tinubu has turned around to make it the tagline for his presidential bid. Tinubu’s 2023 campaign has been standing firm on this his “Emi lokan” slogan that it’s his turn to sit on Nigeria’s Iron Throne.

Also, the Former Vice President  Atiku Abubakarf has assured that he will unify the country and return the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) back to power. With his ‘One Nigeria campaign’ theme, the one time former vice president has stated that his plan is to lead the nation out of “its present quagmire”.  He has said Nigeria needs a unifier, who is very sound, who has business acumen, investment and wealth of experience and wherewithal to be able to properly lead the country out of its present situation.

And to crown it up is the face on the N1000  note. The Incumbent Governor of Rivers state who has been seen as Emperor-In-Chief. The Governor seem to have  total monopoly of the whole Rivers State. Wike has prooved much dominance and control over his territory. He is also known to be a powertful member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
