According to NAN, two security guards who are accused of stealing N1 million worth of iron rods on Friday 21st October appeared before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court on a three-count charge.
Baba Shadricks, 26; likewise Daniel Eni, 42; are being tried alongside 18-year-old Isa Abduraman; and 27-year-old Suraju Mamman; who is said to have been given the stolen iron rods.
The defendants, according to the prosecutor, Insp. Innocent Odugbo, committed the alleged offenses from March to September at No. Agege, Lagos, 41, Capitol Road.
The defendants who are all residents of Agege, Lagos State, according to Odugbo claim, were employed as security guards by Mr. Christian Ajamman, the complainant. He stated that the complainant discovered that the security guards were stealing iron rods from him through a closed-circuit television camera.
The security guards told the police that they had been selling the iron rods to Abdulraman and Mamman when they were arrested, according to the prosecutor.
Sections 287, 328, and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, are in violation by the alleged offenses.
The defendants were granted bail in the amount of N150, 000 each with two sureties in the same amount by the Magistrate, Mr. L.O. Owolabi and thereafter, he adjourned the case until 28th of October for mention.
