Ex-Nasarawa Deputy Governor, Gye-Wado Set Free From Abductors

Onje Gye-Wado, former deputy governor of Nasarawa State has been released, following his abduction last Friday.

This was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Ramhan Nansel.

According to Nansel, the former deputy governor spent two days in captivity before his release on Sunday night, following sustained pressure from a search and rescue team.

Reemember that Gye-Wado was abducted on Friday morning when gunmen broke into his residence in Gwagi village in the Wamba Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.

The police revealed that a search had been initiated by a police tactical team in collaboration with other security personnel to rescue the deputy governor with no hurt.
