No doubt the Nigerian music industry has seen its artists break records and become globally accepted.
FIFA 23 which is an upcoming football simulation video game published by Electronic Arts has included a couple of Nigerian artist’s songs in the soundtrack of the FIFA 23 console game.
The FIFA 23 which will be the 30th and final installment in the FIFA series developed by
EA Sports will be released worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Stadia, PS4, and Xbox One on September 30th 2022.
The VOLTA soundtracks which were introduced from FIFA 20 has since been an interesting part of the video game, with songs on that mode that drives street action with the latest and greatest in grime, electronic, and hip-hop.
However the full FIFA 23 soundtrack has been officially confirmed by EA, with over five hours of music in the game in total across its different modes. The soundtrack which features a wide range of songs has Nigerian stars on the list, inclusive of;
Pheelz’s ft BNXN FKA Buju – ‘Finesse’
Bad Boy Timz ft Olamide – ‘Skelele’
Seun Kuti ft Black Thought – ‘Ku ku Kee Me’
And the 2022 Qatar Official world cup song, ‘Hayya Hayya (Better Together)’ by Davido ft. Trinidad Cardona, & Aisha.
The Afrobeats stars will join a long list of other artists spread across the world to make up the Soundtrack of one of the highest-selling video games. Fireboy DML’s ‘Scatter’ and Rema’s ‘Beamer had also been featured on EA Sports, Fifa 21 official soundtrack.
