On Friday, June 3rd whilst the second episode of the ongoing Big Brother ‘Naija Shine Ya Eyes’ Reunion show was being aired, Reality TV stars, Maria Benjamin and Angel Smith had an intense altercation, which of course is nothing unusual given the BBNaija atmosphere, and as expected social media was buzzing with the news.
Angel and Maria did a fine job at keeping fans glued to their TVs and on edge, as they successfully turned what was meant to be a subtle opening day program into a ‘vocal’ WrestleMania, which was just a couple words away from a full on fistfight.
On the episode which was entitled, “Amebo episode” housemates were expected to talk and share insights on their time in the house, given the title that is no surprise of course. The drama began when the show host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu asked housemates, Nini, Maria, and Peace to talk about the not-so-nice statements they had previously made about Angel. Just to note, Nini, Maria, and Peace during their time in the house had ‘slut-shamed’ Angel, saying that she was ‘carefree’ and ‘loose.’
However, Nini and Peace were quick to show remorse, but Maria on the other hand was unmoving, still sticking to her own ideologies and totally unapologetic about them, and Angel was not having any of that, she immediately started backlashing Maria and hence, the beginning of the uproar between the ex-housemates.
In those short minutes, stray bullets were flying everywhere, things were being said, deep dark secrets revealed, including the fact that Angel unfollowed Nini because of the infamous lounge conversation that was Michael trying to clear the air on the events that led to Angel gaining her title.
Next week on the next episode, that is episode three, Nini and her former bestie Arin will have the floor, and of course we can only expect more and more drama.
