Automobile Crash Along Ondo/Ore Road Claims Four Lives, Leaves Eight Injured

A car accident on the Ondo/Ore road in the Odigbo council area of Ondo State claimed the lives of four people. According to eyewitness accounts, the accident, which happened on Sunday at around 3:00 pm, involved an unregistered Nissan Bus.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ore Unit Commander, Mr. Sikiru Alonge, commenting on the accident, claimed that the driver’s lack of focus was to blame.

Alonge said that: “Nineteen persons were involved in the fatal accident which comprises of ten males adult, five females adult, two male child and two female children.”

“Out of the nineteen persons, eight persons were injured comprising of six male adults and two female adults while four persons died on the spot, comprising of two male adults and two female adults,” he said

According to the commander, the deceased were transferred to the mortuary while the injured were taken to the closest hospital for treatment.

However, Alonge cautioned drivers to pay attention at all times when driving in order to safeguard both individuals and property.
