ANAMBRA: After 9 Years Of Childlessness, Petty Trader’s Wife Who Gave Birth To Quintuplets Seeks help

A 28-year-old housewife, Mrs Chidinma Amaechi, from Anambra state has called on government and individuals that are moved to assist her offset over N7.5m hospital bills after delivering a quintuplet in Awka, Anambra State

Chidinma who is married to Mr Tochukwu Ameachi an Onitsha based petty trader,  has been blessed with quintuplets,  after nine years of childlessness. The quintuplets, consisting three boys and two girls, were delivered at the Life International Hospital, Awka, through caesarian operation on Thursday.

The babies are in the intensive care unit of the hospital. Elder sister to the nursing mother, Mrs Ebele Oranekwu who spoke with journalists at the hospital, disclosed that the bill for the incubators alone is N250,000 per day, adding that the babies were expected to be there for about 30 days. 

She said, “This bill amounted to about N7.5 million aside other huge bills already accumulated in the past two months of managing the delicate pregnancy at the hospital.
