“4th Republic,” which was directed by Ishaka Bako, tells the story of Ikechukwu Obiano, a young, idealistic deputy campaign manager for industrialist Mabel King who is up against incumbent Governor Idris Sani to become the first elected female governor in the country.

The movie, which came out in 2014, is about Nigeria’s 1960 declaration of independence from the British. It is a fictional story about a Nigerian police detective who is sent to a rural community to look into the murders of women.

Before the Nigerian flag is hoisted on October 1, 1960, Nigeria’s Independence Day, the detective is expected to solve the mystery.
