German Star and Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos has taken to Twitter to slam the organizers of the just concluded Balon D’or ceremony which saw Manchester City emerging as best club for the 2021/2022 season and Toni Kroos’s Real Madrid ranked as third-best in the world. Manchester City won the club of the year title because they received the most nominations in the men’s and women’s Balon D’or categories combined. Liverpool finished second in the rankings while Real Madrid came third. However, this didn’t go down well with Kroos who felt Real Madrid where cheated and where more deserving of the award after winning the UEFA Champions League and the La Liga and having eventual Balon D’or winner Karim Benzema on their roster. The reaction to this the German has taken to his Twitter account to react to it as he tweeted “3rd best team in 2021/22 Happy [Madrid]?”.
